Quick answer

Sign up for a free Dollar General account on DollarGeneral.com or in the DG app, accept the current myDG terms, and keep the phone number in your profile up to date.

Before shopping, clip DG Digital Coupons or DG Cash Back offers. At checkout, enter the phone number tied to the account. DG Cash Back rewards show in DG Wallet after eligible purchases and are redeemed in store through the app barcode.

Step-by-step signup

  1. 1

    Create a Dollar General account

Go to DollarGeneral.com, open the Dollar General app, or use the myDG signup page. Create an account with the email address and phone number you want attached to your savings.

  2. 2

    Accept the current myDG terms

Dollar General says myDG participation starts when you create an account and accept the most recent program terms. Keep your profile current so personalized offers and birthday savings can work correctly.

  3. 3

    Use the right phone number

Your checkout phone number matters. Dollar General says shoppers should enter the phone number tied to the DG account at checkout, even when there is not a coupon to redeem.

  4. 4

    Clip digital coupons

Open Coupons & Cash Back on DollarGeneral.com or in the app, then add the digital coupons you want to your account before checkout.

  5. 5

Clip DG Cash Back offers separately

DG Cash Back offers are also clipped before shopping. For in-store purchases, buy the eligible item and enter the phone number attached to your DG account at the register.

  6. 6

    Check DG Wallet after shopping

Dollar General says DG Cash can take up to 48 hours to appear in DG Wallet. To redeem it in store, open DG Wallet in the app and show the barcode to the cashier.
